🏛️ THE OUSL
The OUSL was established in 1980 with the prime aim of increasing access for adult learning at university level. It has the same legal and academic status as any other national university in the island.
💗 FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES
The Faculty of Health Sciences comprises the Departments of Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pharmacy, Basic Sciences, Psychology & Counselling, and Health Education & Research.
🧠 BSc (HONS) IN PSYCHOLOGY
The BSc Honours in Psychology Degree Programme is offered by the Department of Psychology & Counselling and aims to:
- Provide comprehensive knowledge in the main theoretical domains of psychology.
- Facilitate the development of practical skills on research, ethical standards & professional conduct.
- Provide transferable skills of academic writing, communication, project management & self-reflection for lifelong learning.
1. Obtained a minimum of:
- a) Three (03) Pass grades in one sitting at the G.C.E. A/L Examination, in any stream of study, OR
- b) "C" grades or equivalent in 60 credits at Levels 1 and 2 from among the Foundation Courses of the OUSL in Science/Social Sciences, OR
- c) An equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate.
2. Minimum of Simple Pass (S) for English at the G.C.E. O/L Examination.
3. Pass the selection interview conducted for the purpose of admission.
