• Implementing strategic directions approved by the Board of Directors.
• Providing leadership and vision for Sri Lanka CERT.
• Managing daily operations, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Leading national cybersecurity incident response activities.
• Developing cybersecurity strategies to combat emerging cyber threats.
• Coordinating with government institutions, law enforcement agencies, industry partners, and international CERT organizations.
• Improving cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Promoting cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
• Acting as the official spokesperson during cybersecurity incidents.
• Strengthening partnerships with regional and global cybersecurity organizations including FIRST and APCERT.

OPTION 1

A First Degree (SLQF Level 5 or 6) in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or any related discipline recognized by the UGC.

OPTION 2

A Master's Degree (SLQF Level 9 or above) in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Associate/Fellow membership of a recognized professional body.

• Minimum 14 years of experience in Information Security or Cybersecurity.
• At least 5 years in a senior management position.
• Proven leadership in cybersecurity service providers, government organizations, statutory boards, government-owned companies, or international organizations.
