ලංකා තැපැල් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ ග්රේඩ් III තැපැල් රියදුරු (සීමිත) තනතුරු 14ක් සඳහා ප්රායෝගික පරීක්ෂණයක් පවත්වනු ලැබේ. මෙය තැපැල් සහායක සහ තැපැල් සහායක තාක්ෂණික තනතුරුවල දැනට සේවය කරන කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයට පමණක් විවෘත වේ. අයදුම්කරුවන් D කාණ්ඩයේ බර වාහන රියදුරු බලපත්රයක් හිමි විය යුතු අතර, එය අවසන් දිනට පෙර වසර 3කට වඩා පැරණි විය යුතුය. අයදුම්පත් ලියාපදිංචි තැපෑලෙන් 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 18 වන දිනට පෙර යැවිය යුතුය.
இலங்கை தபால் திணைக்களத்தில் தரம் III தபால் சாரதி (வரையறுக்கப்பட்ட) பதவிகள் 14க்கு நடைமுறை சோதனை நடத்தப்படுகிறது. இது தற்போது தபால் உதவியாளர் மற்றும் தபால் உதவியாளர் தொழில்நுட்ப பதவிகளில் பணிபுரியும் ஊழியர்களுக்கு மட்டுமே திறக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் D வகை கனரக வாகன ஓட்டுநர் உரிமத்தை வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும்; அது இறுதி தேதிக்கு 3 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே பெறப்பட்டதாக இருக்க வேண்டும். விண்ணப்பங்களை பதிவுத் தபால் மூலம் 2026 செப்டம்பர் 18-ஆம் திகதிக்கு முன் அனுப்ப வேண்டும்.
- ✔ D-category (Heavy Vehicle) driving licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic
- ✔ Licence must be at least 3 years old as at 18.09.2026 — attach a photocopy
- ✔ Confirmed in active service for the last 5 years, with a clean disciplinary record (PSC Circular 01/2020)
- ✔ Height: not less than 5'2½" (157 cm)
- ✔ Physically & mentally fit with good eyesight, confirmed by a National Transport Medical Institute certificate
- ✔ Willing to serve as a driver at any time, day or night, anywhere in Sri Lanka
- ✔ Permanent appointment, 1-year probation
- ✔ First Efficiency Bar test due within 3 years
- ✔ Language proficiency required per PA Circular 18/2020
- ✔ Temporary drivers currently serving must apply through this notice for permanency

Candidates must pass all three subjects in a single attempt. Selection is ranked purely by practical test marks — the general interview carries no marks.
- Obtain the application form from the Postal Department's service portal (epay.slpost.lk)
- Prepare it on both sides of A4 paper, following the model application format
- Attach a photocopy of your D-category heavy vehicle licence
- Get it certified by your Chief Clerk, Staff Assistant, or Postmaster on Duty
- Route it through your Divisional Superintendent of Posts / Staff Officer as applicable
- Mark the envelope: "Practical Test for the recruitment of Grade III Postal Drivers (Limited) Posts – 2025"
- Send by registered post to reach the Senior Administrative Secretary (HQ) before 18 September 2026
