BENEFITS SCHEME 2025
"Invest in Skills, Build the Future!"
🤝 Financial assistance up to Rs. 50,000 for NVQ Level 3, 4 & 5 courses for the children of active ETFB members.
The Employees' Trust Fund Board (ETFB) introduces the "Nipunatha Saviya" Benefits Scheme from 2025 onwards to support the vocational education of members' children who sat for the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination in December 2025.
👤 ELIGIBILITY
✅ Student should have sat for the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination in December 2025 (passing not essential)
✅ School & external candidates not more than 23 years of age are eligible
✅ Mother/Father/Guardian must be an active ETFB member when the student sat for A/L
✅ Contributions must be paid continuously from Jan 2025 to Dec 2025
✅ Self-employed members: contributions paid continuously for approx. 36 months prior to Dec 2025
✅ If both parents are members, only one can apply for the benefit
✅ A student is eligible for this benefit only once

📋 HOW TO APPLY
1. Download the EMP form (to be completed by the employer) before filling the application
2. Get it correctly completed by your current employer
3. Scan the EMP form along with all required documents
4. Create a PDF file and rename it using the child's NIC number
5. Visit www.etfb.lk and click on "Nipunatha Saviya Benefits Scheme"
6. Complete all 3 parts of the online application and upload your PDF file
📁 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
1. Completed application certified by the current employer
2. Copy of the student's National Identity Card
3. Copy of the student's birth certificate
4. Copy of the student's A/L result sheet (from Dept. of Examinations website)
5. Copy of the member's National Identity Card
6. If application made by a guardian — proof of legal custody
7. Documents (2–6) certified by employer / Grama Niladhari / Lawyer / Justice of the Peace, uploaded as certified copies
8. If names differ between birth certificate and member's NIC — an employer letter certifying both are the same
9. If names differ between member's NIC and Form II records — an employer letter certifying same person
💵 PAYMENT OF COURSE FEES
🏦 Payment directly to the Vocational Training Institute
▪️ After approval, register with the approved institute and submit registration proof
▪️ ETFB will issue a Guarantee Letter to the institute
▪️ Upon successful completion, ETFB pays the course fee up to Rs. 50,000/- directly to the institute
💳 Reimbursement of course fees to the student
▪️ If student already paid the fee and the course has commenced, the fee will be reimbursed
▪️ Submit proof of payment after successful completion of the course
▪️ Bank account details of the student must be provided with the application
