Applications are invited from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the recruitment of Driver (Departmental) – Grade III and Ambulance Driver – Grade III under the Sri Lanka Prison Department.

📝 EXAMINATION DETAILS
1. Written Examination — Intelligence Test & Technical Knowledge
Tests logical thinking, analytical skills, decision-making, and vehicle operation/maintenance knowledge.
Maximum Marks: 100% | Pass Marks: 40%
2. Professional / Practical Test
Covers road rules, traffic signs, and practical driving ability — conducted by Motor Traffic Dept., Police Traffic Division & Prison Dept. officers.

Colombo Examination Centres
Expected Month: October 2026
Conducted in Sinhala, Tamil & English
🎓 EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
✔️ Passed G.C.E. O/L with 6 subjects, minimum 2 credit passes, within 2 attempts
✔️ Valid heavy vehicle driving licence (Commissioner General of Motor Traffic)
✔️ Minimum 3 years' driving experience after obtaining the licence
✅ OTHER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
🇱🇰 Sri Lankan citizen, physically & mentally fit, good character
📍 Willing to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka
📏 Minimum height (Male): 5 feet 4 inches
📐 Minimum chest measurement: 32 inches
🎂 AGE LIMIT
18 – 45 Years
