💰 SALARY & APPOINTMENT
Training Grade: Monthly allowance per Schedule VI of PA Circular 10/2025(I)
Grade III Salary Scale: Rs. 52,250 – 10×800 – 11×1,190 – 10×1,320 – 10×1,350 – Rs. 100,040 (Code: MN 3–2025)
Grade III appointment is permanent and pensionable (subject to future pension policy); 3-year probation period applies.

🎓 GENERAL EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
G.C.E. O/L: 6 subjects in not more than 2 sittings, with credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil/English, Science, Mathematics, and one other subject
G.C.E. A/L (most technical posts): 3 Science subjects at one sitting — Applied/Pure/Combined Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics (applies to Draftsman, Drilling Assistant, Civil Engineering Materials Investigator, Soil Cartographer, Hydrological Assistant/Field Assistant, Research Assistant - Engineering Materials/Hydraulics, Mechanical Foreman)
Research Assistant – General & Soil Investigator: Chemistry, Physics, and one other Science/Mathematics subject at one sitting
📜 ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Draftsman: Completed a 1-year full-time Draftsmanship training course at a TVEC-recognized technical college
Mechanical Foreman: National Diploma in Technology (Moratuwa/Hardy Institute), NAITA Diploma in Engineering Sciences, HND in Engineering, Diploma in Technology (OUSL), Part I of IESL Engineering Examination, NVQ Level 6, or equivalent
📝 RECRUITMENT METHOD
Written competitive examination + general interview (interview verifies certificates/fitness only — no marks awarded)
Intelligence Test: 1 Hour, 100 marks, Pass 40 | Technical Test: 3 Hours, 100 marks, Pass 40. Medium: Sinhala & Tamil (cannot be changed later)
