Education Required: An NVQ Level 5 Certificate of Proficiency in Hardware & Software from a TVEC-recognized technical/vocational institute.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience gained after obtaining the NVQ Level 5 (or higher) qualification.
Internal Applicants: Must meet the same standard set for outside applicants.
Age Limit: 18 – 45 years as at the closing date (age ceiling does not apply to internal staff).
Monthly Salary Scale (MA 2-2, 2025): Rs 50,540 – Rs 90,270 (per Management Services Dept. Circular 01/2025, effective 01.01.2027).
External Applicants: A pass in 6 subjects at one sitting of the G.C.E. (O/L) exam, including credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics and English, plus at least 3 passes (excluding the Common General Test) at the G.C.E. (A/L) exam.
Internal Applicants (Primary Grade staff): Same O/L result as above; must hold a confirmed, permanent post; and must have completed 5 continuous years of satisfactory service immediately before the closing date. A recognized computer word-processing/typing course may count toward the qualification where relevant.
Age Limit: 18 – 45 years as at the closing date (age ceiling does not apply to internal staff).
Monthly Salary Scale (MA 1-2, 2025): Rs 46,220 – Rs 84,350 (per Management Services Dept. Circular 01/2025, effective 01.01.2027).
- Hold Sri Lankan citizenship
- Be physically and mentally capable of performing the duties
- Be of good character and standing
- Cost of Living Allowance plus other government-approved allowances
- Recruitment through a structured interview and/or written competitive examination, on merit
- Permanent appointment following a 3-year probation period
- EPF contribution: 8% employee / 12% employer, plus 3% ETF from the employer
